the "culture wars" are still raging, and although most people love Narnia, a few are dissing it....
Ironically Andrew Greeley has the best take of it: It uses the Catholic imagination (or in the case of CSL, the Anglican imagination) to retell the good news...
Similarly, the death of Richard Pryor, whose pain filled life was obvious to all who loved his humor, reminds me of purgatory, where he will be healed of pain before accepting heaven...
Leaf by Niggle is a good story about purgatory...
